Into The Wild is one of my most favorite reads. This inspiring story of an adventurer kept me reading page after page. Christopher McCandles is a college graduate who sets of into the wild to fend completely for himself. He hitch hikes his way up and down the west coast with only the clothes on his back, and no identification. He embarks on a solo journey to Alaska where he is never seen alive again. This amazing journey affects the lives of several people. This book is a great read. The novel does a wonderful job of portraying the reality of love, compassion, and friendship. You get a taste of just how cruel the wild can be.
